Medical Sciences Summer Schools Groningen 2019 & International Student Congress Of (bio)Medical Sciences ISCOMS 2019

The Medical Sciences Summer School programme of the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG), University of Groningen, consists of several Summer Schools encompassing a wide range of medical disciplines. The aim of the Summer School programme is to provide international students with a highly stimulating environment and increase their knowledge in specific areas of medicine and biomedical sciences. A hallmark of all Summer Schools is the combination of clinical practice and research. Translational medicine is highly qualified at our University Medical Center. Therefore we stimulate medical students to get acquainted with (bio)medical research.

The International Student Congress Of (bio)Medical Sciences (ISCOMS) is a congress that takes place annually in Groningen, the Netherlands. ISCOMS gives students from all over the world the chance to present their research and get inspired. Last year 959 participants from 49 different countries took part in ISCOMS. The 26th edition will take place from the 3rd until the 7th of June 2019. The first keynote speakers have already been announced, among whom are Nobel prize laureate prof. Mario R. Carpecchi PhD, prof. Andrea Maier MD PhD and prof. Henning Schliephake MD DDS PhD.
