In the academic year of 2013/2014, the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto initiated a deep Curricular Reform which started in the 1st academic year.

The remaining academic years will be consequentely implemented as it follows: the 4th  year started in the current academic year 2016/2017 and the 5th  and 6th  academic years will start in the academic year 2017/2018.

This Curricular Reform of The Integrated Study Cycle Master of Medicine aims to develop a comprehensive medical education to make our students referenced professionals equipped with the necessary skills to improve people's health through excellence in clinical practice, research , innovation and leadership.

Due to this complex process, our Dean decided that for the academic year of 2017/2018 incoming students will not be able choose/attend any of 5th year subjects. However, we are able to maintain requests for both 4th and 6th year subjects.

We are certainly aware that this will bring some constrains in the preparation of the study plans, though we are willing to do our best to find the best alternatives. In line with this, each case will be carefully analyzed in order to attend student’s needs.
